Position Summary

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our doctors and clinical team while helping create an outstanding experience for every patient. This position offers a variety of responsibilities and opportunities for professional development within a supportive and team-oriented practice.

Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and operatories before each patient appointment. Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and clinical treatments. Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment. Take and record patient medical histories and update dental records accurately. Monitor patient flow to help maintain an efficient daily schedule. Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation. Clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with OSHA, CDC, and practice protocols. Follow proper infection control and sterilization procedures at all times. Safely dispose of contaminated and potentially hazardous materials. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing. Take dental radiographs as permitted by state regulations. Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education. Support front office and administrative functions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the practice. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Dental Assisting experience preferred (new graduates are encouraged to apply). Current Georgia Dental Assistant requirements, certifications, and radiology certification, as applicable. Current CPR certification. Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, procedures, and infection control standards. Experience with dental practice management software is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
