Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our dental team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Take X-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
  • Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
  • Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology, dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Cerec.
  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with X-Ray technology and safety protocols.
  • Strong understanding of medical documentation processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Certification in dental assisting is a plus but not required.
