Located on the prestigious Scripps Memorial Hospital campus in La Jolla, our state-of-the-art, fully digital, paperless practice is equipped with the latest technology, including digital impressions, digital radiography, and laser dentistry. We are seeking an enthusiastic, personable, detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist who is passionate about patient care and committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Schedule

• Monday: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Tuesday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM
• Saturday: By Appointment
• Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality preventive and periodontal hygiene services
• Build rapport with patients and create a welcoming, comfortable experience
• Review and update medical histories and digital patient records
• Educate patients on oral health and recommended treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with doctors and team members to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
• Utilize digital charting and imaging technologies
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms according to clinical standards
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
• Coordinate patient care and scheduling needs when appropriate
• Serve as a positive ambassador for the practice through professionalism and relationship-building
• Support the practice mission of delivering outstanding general, specialty, and cosmetic dental care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the State of California
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical hygiene experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and patient care
• Experience with digital dentistry and electronic health records
• Familiarity with CareStack Practice Management Software preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
