Surgical Dental Assistant

Seeking a dedicated and skilled Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team. As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our oral surgery procedures, providing support to our oral surgeons, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities: Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment. Manage patient intake, including obtaining medical histories and ensuring necessary information is collected. Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care instructions. Maintain patient records, including documenting treatments and procedures. Sterilize instruments and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with dental assistants and other healthcare staff to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as a dental assistant or oral surgery assistant is preferred. Proven experience as an Oral Surgery Assistant or in a similar role. Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures related to oral surgery. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Phlebotomy a plus!!
