Orthodontic Dental Assistant
Job Summary
The primary role of the Orthodontic Assistant is to assist the Orthodontist in the overall delivery of oral care and work independently to provide an exceptional patient experience. Orthodontic Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Orthodontic Assistants prepare patients for oral examination and assist other dental professionals in providing treatment to the teeth, mouth, and gums.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Sterilization and disinfection of all instruments and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of each operatory in accordance with state applicable infection control guidelines
- Prepare tray setups for orthodontic procedures and manage appropriate supplies in each operatory.
- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the Orthodontist
- Maintain strict compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, Dental Board)
- Record patient charting
- Support Orthodontist during treatment procedures
- Take digital x-rays
- Assist in managing and controlling supply inventory
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in an Orthodontic practice is a must.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
