- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.
- Capture and review dental radiographs (medical imaging) accurately while maintaining strict infection control protocols.
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and assessments clearly in electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines diligently to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-specific care approaches.
- Skilled in chairside assisting, including aseptic technique and managing dental instruments efficiently.
- Ability to perform vital signs assessment, medical coding, and review of medical records accurately.
- Excellent patient care skills with a warm, professional demeanor that fosters trust and comfort.
