As we expand our team, we seek a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant with a DC Dental Assistant License to help us provide outstanding dental services.
Duties:
Assist hygienist during various procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, polish, setting up supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.
- Take and interpret X-rays, including iTero scanning, ensuring accurate documentation for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration before procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Manage electronic medical records on Dentrix Ascend, to accurately document patient information and treatment details.
- Support administrative tasks such as dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene.
- Ensure a warm and comfortable experience for all patients.
Skills
- Proficiency with Dentrix Ascend, for efficient record management
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols
- Experience with general dentistry procedures
- Ability to operate advanced dental technology including iTero scanners and digital X-ray equipment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
