Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Employ four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during treatments.
- Follow aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment and prevent infection.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome motivated candidates eager to learn.
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the team and with patients.
- Familiarity with dental clinic operations, including sterilization procedures and equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in using dental software for record keeping is a plus.
