Registered Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging) and applying topical anesthetics.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring patient safety during all procedures.
• Collaborate with the dental team to support general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry cases when applicable.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic environment.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient documentation review and record keeping.
• Hands-on experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and working with children is a plus.
• Ability to perform medical coding related to dental procedures for accurate billing and record management.
• Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical records management to support comprehensive patient assessment.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
