Cosmetic Dental Assistant

We are a boutique, fee-for-service cosmetic and comprehensive dental practice located in downtown Austin with incredible skyline views and a modern, technology-driven office.
Our practice is intentionally small, with a close-knit team and long-standing team members who know the patients and the culture of the office well. We focus on quality over volume, strong patient relationships, and an exceptional experience from the first phone call through treatment completion.
We are seeking an experienced, cross-trained Dental Assistant who enjoys both clinical dentistry and supporting front office operations when needed. This is a four-day-per-week position. The initial schedule is Monday through Thursday, with the possibility of rotating to Tuesday through Friday in the future. Either way, this role is designed as a four-day workweek.
The ideal candidate has experience with cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, nitrous oxide, clinical photography, digital scanning, provisional restorations, lab case tracking, and patient communication. We are looking for someone who is organized, warm, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-touch patient environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Chairside assisting for cosmetic, restorative, crown and bridge, endodontic, surgical, and comprehensive procedures
- Assisting with nitrous oxide cases and patient monitoring protocols
- Clinical photography for cosmetic, restorative, and before-and-after documentation
- Digital impressions/scanning
- Fabrication and adjustment of provisional restorations
- Lab case management and tracking
- Sterilization and operatory setup
- Scheduling, patient communication, and payment collection when needed
- Supporting a smooth, five-star patient experience from start to finish
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience
- Cross-trained in clinical and front office responsibilities preferred
- Experience with cosmetic dentistry preferred
- Nitrous oxide experience preferred
- Clinical photography experience preferred
- Experience with Eaglesoft, Weave, iTero, CEREC, or digital workflows is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
