At Pediatric Dentistry of Flower Mound and Pediatric Dentistry of Northlake, our mission is helping kids love dentistry. We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Pediatric Dental Assistant who enjoys working with children and families while providing exceptional patient care in a fun, positive environment.
This position will work between both of our offices in Flower Mound and Northlake as needed and is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and making a lasting impact on children's oral health.
Position Summary: The Pediatric Dental Assistant works closely with our doctors and clinical team to provide high-quality, efficient, and compassionate dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, enjoys working with children, and maintains a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: -Prepare treatment rooms before and after each patient. -Welcome and help children feel comfortable during their dental visit. -Assist the doctor during restorative procedures, extractions, emergencies, and other pediatric dental treatments. -Take quality digital radiographs while following all safety protocols. -Perform coronal polishing and apply fluoride (when certified and permitted). -Prepare dental materials, instruments, and equipment for procedures. -Maintain proper sterilization and infection control according to OSHA and CDC guidelines. -Accurately document treatment and patient notes in the electronic dental record. -Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, home care, and preventive dentistry. -Monitor inventory and assist with ordering clinical supplies. -Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment. -Support teammates and contribute to a positive office culture. -Travel between our Flower Mound and Northlake locations as scheduled.
Qualifications: -Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required. -Current CPR certification. -Coronal polishing and pit & fissure sealant certifications preferred. -Nitrous oxide monitoring certification preferred. -Pediatric dental experience preferred, but we are willing to train an exceptional candidate with the right attitude. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Strong organizational and time management abilities. -Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. -Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. -Passion for working with children and creating positive dental experiences.

Schedule -Monday-Thursday and occasional Fridays -Full-time position (approximately 32–40 hours per week) -This position will work at both our Flower Mound (2701 Old Settlers Rd) and Northlake (8151 Thompson Rd) offices based on the needs of the practice.
