Gustafson Dental is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant with a strong orthodontic background to join our friendly, patient-focused team. We are looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, organized, and passionate about providing outstanding patient care.

Position Schedule:

• Monday – Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
• Thursday: 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM
• Alternating Fridays: 6:45 AM – 2:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Previous dental assisting experience required
• Heavy orthodontic experience is a must
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and patient education
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Current dental assisting certifications as required by state regulations

Responsibilities:

• Assist the doctor during orthodontic procedures
• Take digital radiographs, impressions, and intraoral scans
• Place and remove orthodontic appliances as permitted
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate clinical records
• Provide exceptional patient care while creating a comfortable experience
