Opportunity Overview Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC) is seeking a Part-Time Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our orthodontic team in Aventura, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for a patient-focused Dental Assistant looking to build or continue a career in orthodontics while enjoying a consistent part-time schedule. Working alongside experienced orthodontic providers, you'll help deliver exceptional patient care in a collaborative, fast-paced practice where teamwork and professionalism are valued.

Schedule: Wednesdays and Thursdays

What You'll Do Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and orthodontic procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for daily patient care. Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment. Educate patients on orthodontic care, oral hygiene, and post-treatment instructions. Anticipate provider needs to support efficient patient flow and clinical operations. Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation. Deliver a welcoming, positive experience for every patient.

What You'll Bring Previous dental assisting experience or relevant dental assisting education preferred. Orthodontic experience is a plus but not required. Willingness to learn and grow within an orthodontic specialty practice. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. Experience with dental practice software is a plus. A positive attitude and commitment to exceptional patient care.

State Requirements Applicants must meet all applicable state requirements for dental assistants. For Florida, this includes: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification. Proof of formal training to expose dental X-rays, including the required Florida Department of Health permit.
