Overview of Position
The Registered Dental Assistant ('RDA') will function under the direct supervision of the Lead RDA for the primary practice location to which you are assigned as a circulating assistant in clinical and dental procedures.
The RDA will provide patient and practice care including, but not limited to, personal assistance to our contracted Endodontists, patient monitoring and medical attention, as well as patient care and emotional support throughout treatment. The RDA will perform all dentistry procedures, clinical infection control procedures, cleaning and sterilization of dental instruments, as well as dental instrument tray setup and general operatory preparation.
This position is 30–32 hours per week and offers a very flexible schedule. The selected candidate will be scheduled off every other Thursday, making this an excellent opportunity for someone seeking work-life balance while maintaining a consistent schedule.
Primary Duties -Ability to perform all phases of RDA duties for Endodontics, Endodontic surgery, and restorative procedures. Ability to perform standard and radiographic methods. Familiarity with dental terminology, materials, medications, and instruments used during dental procedures. Perform the following supportive tasks to ensure efficiency of patient flow: clean and sterilize instruments, set up trays, and work collaboratively as part of the team. Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with OSHA and office standards. Maintain and test equipment, including daily lubrication and sterilization of equipment. Ability to instruct patients on post-operative care under the supervision of the dentist. Communicate supply needs to the supervisor as necessary to maintain par levels. Perform charting activities and document exam findings in the patient record. Place post-operative/patient care follow-up calls. Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked operatory and laboratory. Ability to plan work duties to ensure dental clinic efficiency. Knowledge of balancing a busy patient schedule and maintaining patient flow. -Maintain compliance with ergonomic safety standards; be mindful of posture and regularly practice ergonomic stretches. -Ability to use technology to complete daily tasks efficiently. -Log in to Company email daily. -Ensure that all duties, responsibilities, and operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel, patients, and referring dental partners. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the State of Texas. Nitrous Oxide certification. Current CPR certification. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
