Duties
- Conduct oral health assessments and record patient histories accurately
- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing techniques, and overall oral hygiene practices
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with efficiency and professionalism
- Provide postoperative instructions and reinforce treatment plans to ensure patient understanding
- Maintain strict infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with certification to administer local anesthetic in accordance with state or regional regulations
- Proven experience in dental hygiene practice, preferably in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, procedures, and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and connect with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly with the dental team
- Familiarity with dental software systems for charting and recordkeeping is preferred
