Dental Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Record patient medical history and vital signs
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Perform dental charting and documentation
• Educate patients on post-operative care
• Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Proficient in Eaglesoft software for dental records management
• Knowledge of dental coding
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
• Experience in taking accurate vital signs and recording medical documentation
• Ability to use aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards

Skills:

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other staff members
• Excellent attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and documentation
• Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and interpreting results
• Knowledge of medical imaging techniques used in dentistry
• Ability to follow proper sterilization protocols for dental instruments and equipment
