Dental Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Record patient medical history and vital signs
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Perform dental charting and documentation
- Educate patients on post-operative care
- Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
- Proficient in Eaglesoft software for dental records management
- Knowledge of dental coding
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Experience in taking accurate vital signs and recording medical documentation
- Ability to use aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other staff members
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and documentation
- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and interpreting results
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques used in dentistry
- Ability to follow proper sterilization protocols for dental instruments and equipment
