Dental Assistant
Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and to join our established practice (non-HMO) in Middle River, Maryland. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information.
- Manage patient appointments and assist with scheduling as a receptionist when required.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping. (If new with Dentrix, we will teach)
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the dental operatory.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Familiarity with Dentrix is a plus, but not required.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Any front desk experience is a plus, but not required.
