Job Description
We are a thriving, private dental practice in Westchase Houston seeking a multi-talented, patient-focused Dental Front Office Specialist proficient in Dentrix. This dynamic role handles primary front-office operations—including comprehensive insurance billing and treatment planning. Additionally, this role requires cross-training versatility to take digital dental X-rays as needed.
Our Culture: We pride ourselves on a highly collaborative, team-oriented workplace culture where everyone steps up to help each other succeed. We believe a supportive office environment creates the best possible experience for our patients.
No certification yet? No problem! We provide full paid training and exam reimbursement for your Texas state X-ray credentials. Enjoy a stable 4-day workweek with every Friday through Sunday off!
Key Responsibilities • Front Office & Software: Efficiently manage daily patient check-in/out, phone calls, and schedule optimization using Dentrix software. • Insurance Billing: Handle medical/dental insurance verifications, breakdown of benefits, claim submissions, pre-authorizations, and aging accounts receivable. • Treatment Planning: Present comprehensive dental treatment plans, clarify procedural codes, and arrange payment options or external financing (e.g., CareCredit). • Radiography Support: Safely take patient dental X-rays to support the clinical team during high-volume periods or when cross-trained coverage is needed. • Team Collaboration: Maintain open communication with back-office clinicians and actively contribute to a positive, collaborative, and drama-free workplace environment.
Requirements • Experience: Minimum 5 years of dental front office experience. • Software & Skills: Proven proficiency operating Dentrix software. • X-Ray Credentials: Active Texas TSBDE Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license, OR a willingness to complete training and obtain the Texas X-Ray certification within the first 90 days of employment (fully funded by our practice). • Deep comprehension of dental terminology, insurance processing, and structural billing workflows. • Core Values: A naturally positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to a team-oriented workplace culture.
Benefits • Paid Training: Complete financial reimbursement for your TSBDE X-ray certification course and exam fees. • Schedule: Predictable 4-day workweek (Monday through Thursday), leaving your weekends entirely free. • Work Environment: A supportive, collaborative culture that values your input and professional growth.
