Dental Treatment Coordinator
Job Description
APPLICANTS CONSIDERED MUST HAVE DENTAL EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POSITION
Lakewood Dental Arts is seeking an experienced Treatment Coordinator with at least 2-3 years of dental treatment coordinating experience to join our growing multi-specialty dental practice.
This is a temporary full-time position to cover a valued team member who is on an extended leave of absence. There is potential for this position to become permanent based on business needs and job performance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet patients with a professional and friendly demeanor, ensuring a welcoming environment.
· Coordinate and review treatment plans with patients, explaining procedures, financials, and insurance benefits.
· Schedule patients effectively based on a structured template and coordinate with the dental team to optimize workflow.
· Bill and process dental claims accurately and follow up on patient and insurance aging reports.
· Enter patient payment transactions.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience as a dental treatment coordinator, ideally in a multispecialty dental practice.
- Strong knowledge of HMO and PPO insurance plans and dental billing practices.
- Proficiency in dental software and a chartless office environment (e.g., Open Dental, Orthotrac, or similar).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate patients and foster trust.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, committed to full-time work, and consistent in work attendance.
