Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the dental office team, including administrative staff, dental assistants, and hygienists
- Oversee fiscal management tasks such as budgeting, financial management, and dental billing to ensure profitability and operational efficiency
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix while ensuring HIPAA compliance and data security
- Implement and monitor dental management policies in accordance with health regulation policies and ADA standards
- Facilitate human resources functions including staff hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
- Ensure smooth patient management through effective use of patient management software and EHR systems, providing excellent customer service at all times
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, utilization management policies, and managed care requirements while managing clinic operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare practice management within a dental or medical setting
- Extensive knowledge of dental office procedures, Dental terminology.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix ; experience with Microsoft Office Suite is essential
- Strong supervisory skills with experience managing teams in a healthcare environment
- Familiarity with fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, and dental billing processes
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and health regulation policies
- Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with customer service expertise to foster a positive patient experience
- Ability to handle acute care situations and critical care experiences when necessary; familiarity with ADA standards is preferred
