Duties • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection prevention management protocols, including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. • Assist during a variety of procedures such as oral surgery, restorative and cosmetic dentistry with four-handed dentistry techniques. • Take dental X-rays utilizing Carestream imaging ensuring proper positioning and safety measures in accordance with dental x-ray safety standards. • Manage patient records using Softdent software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Monitor vital signs and assist with patient care before, during, and after treatments to ensure comfort and safety. • Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and dental terminology to promote ongoing oral hygiene. • Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, answering patient inquiries, and maintaining smooth clinic operations. Qualifications • Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration as required by local regulations. • Experienced expanded duties preferred, but willing to train the perfect person. • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and infection control policies. • Familiarity with dental X-ray procedures, medical documentation standards, and dental instrument processing techniques. • Ability to demonstrate excellent patient management skills with a focus on compassionate care and clinical confidentiality policies. • Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices applicable to dental clinics.
