Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Practice Seeking Surgical Assistant

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and professional *Oral Surgery Assistant *to join our oral and maxillofacial surgery team. The ideal candidate is confident in a surgical environment, provides exceptional patient care, and works well as part of a fast-paced clinical team.

Responsibilities

· Assist the oral surgeon during surgical and clinical procedures

· Prepare surgical rooms, instruments, equipment, and materials

· Assist with patient preparation before procedures

· Monitor and support patients during treatment and recovery

· Provide attentive postoperative care and patient instructions

· Take and process dental radiographs and clinical images

· Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control protocols

· Clean, disinfect, and prepare operatories between patients

· Maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and clinical supplies

· Accurately document clinical information in patient records

· Help maintain an organized, efficient, and professional clinical environment

· Communicate compassionately with patients and help reduce anxiety before and after procedures

Qualifications

· Previous oral surgery or surgical assisting experience required

· Strong knowledge of surgical assisting techniques and infection-control procedures

· Experience with dental radiography

· Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures and patient recovery

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Compassionate and professional approach to patient care

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

· Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

· Appropriate BLS and radiology certifications as required by state regulations
