Duties
- Prepare and assist the dentist during chairside
- Operational duties such as tracking for timely inventory & supplies, monitoring lab cases, and observe universal precautions at all times including sterilization
- Take high quality digital radiographic imaging equipment to capture necessary diagnostic images while adhering to infection control protocols
- Maintaining weekly OSHA compliance check list such as spore tests and water lines as well as strict clinical confidentiality
- Document all patient interactions accurately in Open Dental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and educating patients
- Keeping the office clean and presentable
- Occasionally help receptionists with patient scheduling, confirmation calls, and answering phone
Skills

- Ability to multitask while managing time effectively by utilizing team cooperation and collaboration
- Familiarity with phone etiquette to handle call volumes effectively
- Great data entry skills with attention to detail for dental charting and codes
Qualifications
- Current, or soon to complete, NJ state licensure as Dental X-Ray Technologist
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental coding, and infection control procedures for instrument processing
- Previous experience in dental assisting roles is encouraged, but not required in select cases for strong candidates who are willing to learn
