Duties

• Prepare and assist the dentist during chairside
• Operational duties such as tracking for timely inventory & supplies, monitoring lab cases, and observe universal precautions at all times including sterilization
• Take high quality digital radiographic imaging equipment to capture necessary diagnostic images while adhering to infection control protocols
• Maintaining weekly OSHA compliance check list such as spore tests and water lines as well as strict clinical confidentiality
• Document all patient interactions accurately in Open Dental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and educating patients
• Keeping the office clean and presentable
• Occasionally help receptionists with patient scheduling, confirmation calls, and answering phone

• Familiarity with phone etiquette to handle call volumes effectively
• Great data entry skills with attention to detail for dental charting and codes

Qualifications

• Current, or soon to complete, NJ state licensure as Dental X-Ray Technologist
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental coding, and infection control procedures for instrument processing
• Previous experience in dental assisting roles is encouraged, but not required in select cases for strong candidates who are willing to learn
