We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of dental assistants and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics
- Manage patient flow using patient management software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, sterilize equipment following infection prevention management protocols, and maintain aseptic techniques
- Take and develop dental X-rays, including dental X-ray imaging and 3D scans using advanced imaging technology
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
- Oversee dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection control measures in compliance with healthcare standards
- Support the dental receptionist by managing appointment scheduling, patient records, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and staff
- Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist with medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care
- Uphold all HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and ensure compliance with healthcare laws
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and clinical procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous experience in a supervisory or lead role within a dental clinic setting
- Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management systems
- Familiarity with EMR systems, medical imaging techniques, X-ray safety protocols, and infection prevention management
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and oral surgery procedures is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team
- Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program; additional certifications in radiography or infection control are advantageous
- Ability to maintain high standards of clinical confidentiality while managing sensitive medical records
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and record keeping

Pay: $26.86 - $32.35 per hour
