Job Summary

I am a small, single location private practice seeking a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) to join our dental team. Almost all of our staff have been with the office for over 25 years.

Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. We are a team-oriented setting that values professionalism, precision, and compassion.

This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a small single doctor private practice where patient care is put first.

Position Hours would be 3 days a week: Wednesday 8am-6pm, Thursday 8am-12pm, and Friday 8am-5pm with lunch between 12 and 1. The opportunity for a full time position may become available in the future. Hiring one candidate who can work all 3 of these days & all hours specified.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures using two handed techniques, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict aseptic techniques to ensure infection control.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
  • Manage patient records accurately using EAGLESOFT electronic medical record (EMR) system, including updating medical histories and documenting procedures.
  • Educate patients on post-treatment instructions clearly and effectively.
  • Support the dental team with tasks such as recording perio charting, wrapping instruments, restocking supplies as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment by adhering to infection control standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, and dental coding to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Pour-up models in stone and make and trim bleach trays.

Qualifications

  • Valid Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) license or certification required. With passed General Chairside Assisting (GC), Radiation Health and Safety (RHS), Infection Control (ICE) components
  • At least 2 years experience in dental assisting within a general or specialized dentistry setting.
  • Proficiency with Eaglesoft EMR systems is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures.
  • Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation, records management, medical coding, and insurance verification processes.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21.0 per week
