Overview We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant, also willing to train, to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
- Take dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
- Manage patient records, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures in a pediatric dentist's office.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Experience The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, but willing to train.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices within a clinical environment.
