Duties
- Perform complex oral surgical procedures including dental extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, and soft tissue surgeries with precision and care.
- Assess patient needs through thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, dental diagnosis, and medical imaging interpretation.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and state healthcare laws.
- Utilize advanced dental technology and aseptic techniques to ensure safe and effective procedures while maintaining infection control standards.
- Collaborate with general dentists, orthodontists, prosthodontists, pediatric dentists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, dental records, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure a positive experience throughout their treatment journey.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice dentistry with specialized certification or training in oral surgery.
- Proven experience in oral surgery procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, and prosthodontics.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in infection control protocols, aseptic technique, medical imaging interpretation, and client communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining excellent patient care standards in a fast-paced environment.
