Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This role involves working collaboratively with our team to deliver comprehensive dental services, including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and various dental procedures. The Associate Dentist will ensure that all treatments adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including but not limited to general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental extractions.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide optimal patient care.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care strategies.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices, including proficiency in software such as opendental
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge is essential.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
