Orthodontic Dental Assistant – Part-Time

Lakewood Dental Arts is seeking an experienced and dependable Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.

Our Orthodontic Department operates approximately 10 days per month, typically 2–3 days per week.

Schedule:

• Wednesdays are consistent and required
• Additional days may fall Monday–Friday depending on the monthly orthodontic schedule
• Approximately 2–3 days per week / 10 days per month

Qualifications:

• Previous orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Orthodontic Assistant Permit/Certificate preferred
• Current California dental assisting certifications/licenses as applicable
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced orthodontic environment
• Must be consistently available on Wednesdays

Responsibilities:

• Assist with bonding, debonding, adjustments, and other orthodontic procedures
• Take X-rays, photos, impressions, and digital scans as needed
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterilization and infection-control standards
• Provide patient instructions and maintain accurate patient records
• Support efficient patient flow throughout the orthodontic schedule

Position: Part-Time Schedule: Approximately 10 days per month / 2–3 days per week Location: Lakewood Dental Arts – Lakewood, CA
