Full-Time Dental Assistant
We are looking for a dependable, motivated Dental Assistant to join our team full-time. We are seeking someone who is comfortable working in a busy dental environment, provides excellent patient care, and works well as part of a team.
Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during exams and treatment procedures using four-handed dentistry
- Prepare and turn over operatories before and after appointments
- Take diagnostic dental radiographs
- Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control protocols
- Assist with restorative, endodontic, surgical, and other dental procedures
- Educate patients regarding treatment and oral hygiene
- Accurately document patient information and treatment in Open Dental
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and supplies throughout the operatories and lab
- Monitor instruments, materials, and clinical supplies
- Help maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the day
- Provide patients with a professional, comfortable, and positive experience
Qualifications
- Dental assisting experience preferred
- Spanish-speaking required
- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique
- Comfortable taking dental X-rays
- Experience assisting with endodontic procedures and surgical extractions preferred
- Familiarity with Open Dental is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Professional attitude and strong attention to detail
