Dental Assistant

Experienced Dental Assistant – M/W/F | Palo Alto | $35–$38/hr

We are a small, established family and cosmetic dental practice in Palo Alto looking for an experienced, dependable Dental Assistant to join our team Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Our practice is focused on high-quality dentistry, personalized patient care, and a positive, professional work environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys building relationships with patients, and can work confidently and independently without needing constant direction.

The ideal candidate is:

• Experienced, organized, and efficient
• Able to anticipate the doctor’s needs and keep the schedule running smoothly
• Warm, professional, and comfortable communicating with patients
• Detail-oriented with excellent infection-control habits
• A team player who is also comfortable working independently
• Familiar with Dentrix, digital X-rays, and iTero scanning

Responsibilities

This is primarily a back-office/chairside assisting position, including:

• Chairside assisting for general and cosmetic procedures
• Taking digital X-rays
• iTero scanning
• Preparing and turning over treatment rooms
• Sterilization and infection control
• Maintaining an organized and efficient back office
• Helping with front-office responsibilities occasionally when needed

Required Certifications

• California Dental X-Ray License
• Infection Control Certification
• Coronal Polishing Certification
• Current CPR Certification

Schedule & Compensation

Monday, Wednesday & Friday8:00 AM–5:00 PM$35–$38/hour, depending on experience

This is a great opportunity for an experienced assistant who is looking for a consistent three-day workweek in a smaller practice where quality of care is valued over volume.
