Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions, Level 2 (RDAEF2), and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team. As an RDAEF2, you will work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to provide comprehensive dental services in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists with complex procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric ensuring smooth clinical operations.
  • Perform extended functions such as placing restorations, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking detailed medical and dental histories.
  • Operate and maintain dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Manage patient care by taking vital signs, updating medical records, and providing pre- and post-operative instructions with professionalism and compassion.
  • Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and clinical confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document medical records accurately and efficiently.
  • Support front desk operations by assisting with patient management software use, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients of all ages including pediatrics.

Skills

  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for seamless documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across general dentistry specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatrics.
  • Expertise in dental sterilization procedures, infection control standards, and healthcare infection prevention practices.
  • Skilled in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry to optimize patient comfort and workflow efficiency.
  • Ability to operate advanced dental equipment including X-ray units, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools while maintaining safety standards.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation requirements related to HIPAA compliance and medical records management.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members like dental receptionists and hygienists while providing outstanding patient care.
