Job Description

West Vista Dental is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who is confident chairside, committed to excellent patient care, and able to help keep the clinical side of the practice organized, efficient, and running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is a team player who takes initiative, communicates well, and understands the importance of both exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of infection control.

Responsibilities Assist the dentist chairside with restorative, preventive, and other dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms and set up trays and instruments for scheduled procedures Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines Turn over operatories efficiently between patients Take dental X-rays as needed Maintain sterilization logs and required documentation Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of sterilization equipment Ensure operatories and clinical areas remain clean, stocked, and organized Monitor clinical and sterilization supplies and communicate inventory needs Support the dental team in maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the day Follow all infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and practice safety protocols Qualifications Dental Assistant (DA or DA II) experience required Current X-ray certification required Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instrumentation Experience with sterilization equipment and infection-control protocols Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Dependable, professional, and positive attitude Strong communication and patient-care skills High school diploma or equivalent required Schedule

Part-Time

Monday–Wednesday: 7:45 AM–4:00 PM Thursday: 7:45 AM–3:00 PM
