Duties
- Perform root canal treatments, retreatments, and other endodontic procedures with precision and attention to detail.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop accurate diagnoses.
- Utilize advanced dental imaging techniques to identify issues and plan effective treatment strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with general dentists and specialists such as prosthodontists, orthodontists, and oral surgeons for integrated patient care.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Educate patients on treatment options, procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance.
- Manage dental fabrication processes related to endodontic restorations and prosthetic components as needed.
- Stay current with developments in endodontics, dental technology, and healthcare diagnosis practices through continuous education.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by demonstrating excellent client communication skills and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure to practice dentistry with specialization or certification in Endodontics.
- Proven experience in performing root canal therapy, endodontic surgeries, and related procedures within a clinical setting.
- Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for electronic health records management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging interpretation, and infection control standards.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures.
- Excellent diagnostic skills combined with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to patients.
- Experience working within a dental office environment that emphasizes patient care excellence and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, dental implants, oral surgery, and other specialties is advantageous but not mandatory.
