About the Role We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and team-oriented Dental Assistant to join our practice. New graduates are welcome to apply. One year of dental assisting experience is preferred but not required.
Basic Dental Assistant Duties & Skills:
Chairside assisting during general dental procedures Taking digital X-rays, including bitewings, periapicals, and panoramic images Preparing and breaking down treatment rooms Proper sterilization and infection-control procedures Setting up instruments and materials for procedures Assisting with fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, and root canal procedures Taking impressions and/or assisting with digital scanning Taking intraoral photographs Suctioning and maintaining a clear operating field Preparing temporary crowns and assisting with crown delivery Reviewing basic post-operative instructions with patients as directed by the dentist Maintaining instruments, equipment, and dental supplies Accurately documenting treatment and assisting with clinical charting Following OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control protocols Providing professional and compassionate patient careQualifications:
Dental Assistant training or relevant experience Texas RDA certification preferred/required as applicable reliable, punctual, and willing to learn Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team New graduates are encouraged to apply
