Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Looking for an experienced Orthodontic assistant for Wednesdays. This is a part time position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate individual to join our team as an Orthodontic Assistant. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Additional hours/days may occasionally be available if willing to travel

Responsibilities:

• Assist the orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Take dental x-rays
• Assist with patient assessment and record medical history
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and care
• Assist with orthodontic procedures such as fitting braces and adjusting wires

Experience:

• Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant is a must
• Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desired

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
