Surgical Dental Assistant
Job Description
Precision Oral Surgery is a fast-paced, multi-doctor, patient-focused oral surgery practice dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care and a supportive team environment. We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and skilled Oral Surgery Assistant to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
-Assist the oral surgeon during a variety of surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, biopsies, and IV sedation
-Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, operatory rooms, and sterile environments
-Take digital radiographs and CBCT scans as needed
-Monitor patients during and after sedation procedures
-Provide pre-operative and post-operative care instructions to patients
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and surgical notes
-Ensure proper infection control protocols are followed at all times
-Support front office as needed with scheduling, charting, or patient coordination
Qualifications:
-Previous oral surgery experience preferred.
-Current Radiology Certification (required)
-DAANCE or anesthesia/sedation certification (Preferred but not Required)
-CPR/BLS Certification (required)
-Strong communication skills, professionalism, and team-oriented mindset
-Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
-Excellent attention to detail and patient care
