Dental Front Office
Job Description
We are seeking a Dental Front Desk Coordinator who is passionate about helping patients and managing the administrative flow of a busy dental office. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, setting the tone for their entire visit. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable discussing treatment plans and financial arrangements.
Key Responsibilities Patient Experience: Warmly greet patients upon arrival, manage check-in/check-out procedures, and answer phone calls with a smile.
Scheduling: Efficiently manage the appointment schedule to maximize productivity and minimize gaps, including confirming appointments and filling cancellations.
Insurance & Billing: Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments, process claims, and accurately collect co-pays and past-due balances.
Treatment Coordination: Present treatment plans to patients, explaining clinical needs (as communicated by the doctor) and financial options clearly and compassionately.
Records Management: Maintain accurate patient records in our practice management software, ensuring all forms and HIPAA consents are up to date.
Office Flow: Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure a smooth patient hand-off and efficient daily operations.
Qualifications & Skills Experience: 1 years of dental front office experience preferred.
Education: High school diploma required; college coursework or dental certification is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software OPEN DENTAL and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex insurance or dental terms simply.
