Pediatric Dental Assistant

Dental assisting experience is required. Candidates without prior dental experience will not be considered. All inquiries will be kept strictly confidential.

Requirements Job Tasks :

Prepared and arranged needed tools and instruments for scheduled procedures.

Handed necessary tools and equipment to the dentist and provided assistance during treatment.

Performing prophylaxis, administering fluoride treatments

Recorded findings, changed barriers, or sterilized equipment.

Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures

Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)

Asking about the patient's medical history

Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment

Providing patients with instructions for oral care or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)

Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;(e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)

Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)

Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer

Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)

Requirements:

FULL TIME - 38-40 HOURS / WEEK MINIMUM

SCHEDULE:  TBD upon completion of interview and hire

LOCATION: Pembroke Pines and Plantation

Bilingual speaker is a plus (both English/ Spanish)

Multi-tasker with attention to detail.
