We are a high-quality, one-doctor (owner) orthodontic practice (not multi-specialty) located in the Hollywood/Mid-City area, seeking a warm, friendly, and professional assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support the doctor. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping patients achieve their best smiles.
Full-time hours: Monday to Thursday, 9AM–6PM, and Friday mornings.

Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Take orthodontic imaging (photographs and X-rays) to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Record and update patient medical records accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Learn appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including dental receptionist tasks.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the team to provide optimal patient care in pediatric, teen and adult orthodontic settings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant or in a similar dental role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, infection control practices, and records management is essential.
- Proficiency in imaging techniques, including X-ray operation and iTero scan are highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work well while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be organized, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
