Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral healthcare!
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety.
- Assess patient vital signs and medical history to support comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Dentrix, documenting all treatments and assessments clearly.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience in dental office settings, with knowledge of general dentistry preferred.
- Proficiency in Dentrix.
- Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while adhering to HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.
