Overview
Our Orthodontic Office is looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Records Technician to join our orthodontic team!
The Records Technician will be responsible for obtaining high-quality patient records to assist our orthodontists in diagnosing patients and developing treatment plans. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients, is comfortable learning new technology, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Take high-quality intraoral and extraoral patient photographs
- Take orthodontic X-rays, including panoramic and cephalometric X-rays
- Perform 3D scans of patients when needed
- Prepare and organize patient records for orthodontic consultations and treatment planning
- Ensure all photographs, X-rays, and scans are properly captured and uploaded into the patient's chart
- Explain the records process to patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Follow all office protocols for patient safety, infection control, and equipment use
- Maintain and clean records equipment and keep the records area organized
- Communicate with doctors and clinical team members regarding patient records
- Provide an excellent patient experience from start to finish
- Assist with other clinical or administrative duties as needed
Skills
- Previous dental, orthodontic, or healthcare experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Comfortable working with computers and learning new technology
- Strong attention to detail
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with patients of all ages
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Willingness to learn how to operate X-ray and 3D scanning equipment
- Must be able to follow all applicable safety and office protocols

Orthodontic experience is not required — we will provide training for the right person!

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
