In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional orthodontic care, focusing on creating beautiful smiles and improving patient confidence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in dental health and patient satisfaction. 1-2 Saturday is a must
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive orthodontic assessments, including dental and medical history review, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging.
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans utilizing the latest orthodontic techniques and appliances.
- Perform orthodontic procedures such as placement of braces, aligners, retainers, and other appliances with precision and care.
- Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including referrals for related procedures like oral surgery or prosthodontics.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients on treatment options, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Stay current with advancements in orthodontics by participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for documentation and treatment planning.
- Expertise in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, including treating young patients with specialized approaches.
- Familiarity with anesthesia techniques used in dental procedures for patient comfort.
- Ability to perform dental diagnoses using medical imaging and clinical evaluation skills.
- Excellent client communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly and empathetically.
- Deep understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures.
- Knowledge of orthodontic appliances, dental fabrication processes, dental implants, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and root canal therapy.
- Awareness of HIPAA guidelines, medical documentation standards, and compliance with all healthcare regulations.
- Strong foundation in anatomy knowledge relevant to oral structures and facial bones.
