About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to all health and safety regulations. Experience with EMR systems and infection control protocols is highly valued. The Registered Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote optimal oral health for patients of all ages.
Experience: Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification CPR/BLS certified Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable Strong knowledge of dental terminology and dental coding practices Experience with four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and patient care techniques Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge Prior dental office or clinic experience demonstrating excellent patient care skills preferred Ability to work effectively within a team while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Part-time / Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week

What You'll Do • Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to remove plaque and tartar buildup • Conduct patient assessments including vital signs and medical history review • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care • Assist with chairside procedures such as dental imaging and documentation review • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations • Support infection control protocols through aseptic technique and sterilization procedures • Collaborate with dentists on patient treatment plans, including dental coding and documentation review • Utilize dental software such as Dentrix Ascend for scheduling, record keeping, and billing purposes • Ensure the clinical environment adheres to all safety standards including infection control and anatomy knowledge
