About the Role We are an orthodontic practice looking for an amazing Orthodontic Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing exceptional patient service and clinical support. This position requires an upbeat, friendly candidate with a caring disposition.
What You'll Do • Greet patients warmly and assist with all orthodontic procedures • Schedule appointments as needed and manage the dental office calendar efficiently • Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services • Provide oral hygiene instructions at all stages of treatment • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment • Collaborate with orthodontic staff to ensure optimal patient care • Take x-rays as requested by the doctor • Take iTero scans • Assist with Orthodontic Adjustments, Bondings, and Debonds • Sterilize instruments and operatories • Manage office inventory and supply ordering • Handle patient care phone calls
What You'll Bring Required: • Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred. • Familiarity with Cloud 9- preferred • Knowledge of Orthodontic/ Dental terminology • Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant (1 yr minimum preferred) • Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction • Ability to handle tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail • Willing to learn and assist with other aspects of the patient experience as needed Preferred:
