Orthodontic Dental Assistant

About the Role CDZ Ortho is growing, and we’re looking for a second part-time Orthodontic Assistant to join our team.

We’re a newer orthodontic practice built alongside an established, busy pediatric dental office—which means we have the energy and opportunity of a growing practice without the chaos of starting from zero.

This role is for someone who knows their way around an orthodontic clinic, enjoys working with patients, and wants to be part of a team that is still actively shaping how we do things.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting the orthodontist with traditional braces and clear aligner appointments
• Taking digital scans, photos, X-rays, and other orthodontic records
• Preparing patients and treatment areas for appointments
• Performing orthodontic assisting duties within your training and scope
• Educating patients and parents on appliances, aligners, elastics, hygiene, and home care
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
• Sterilization, operatory turnover, and keeping clinical areas organized and ready
• Helping appointments stay on time and the clinical day run smoothly
• Jumping in where needed—because we’re a small team and nobody operates in a silo

Who we’re looking for:

You’re dependable, organized, comfortable moving at a good pace, and confident interacting with both kids and adults. You notice what needs to be done without waiting for someone to point it out. You communicate well, take ownership of your work, and understand that a great patient experience is about more than just the clinical procedure.

Previous orthodontic assisting experience is strongly preferred. Experience with Invisalign, iTero, digital orthodontic workflows, and traditional braces is a plus.

This is a part-time position with CDZ Ortho and a great fit for an experienced orthodontic assistant looking for a consistent part-time schedule—or someone excited about getting in early with a practice that has plenty of room to grow.
