Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology.
• Develop personalized treatment plans for various dental conditions, including restorations, extractions, implants, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
• Conduct dental procedures such as root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthetic fabrication, and implant placements with precision and aseptic technique.
• Utilize dental software systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote informed decision-making.
• Maintain infection control standards and adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a sterile environment during procedures.
• Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to increase efficiency and enhance patient comfort during treatments.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in dentistry by participating in ongoing education and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid state license to practice dentistry with current credentials.
• Proven experience in general dentistry within a busy dental clinic or office setting.
• Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care.
• Skilled in performing dental procedures including root canal therapy, oral surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and implant placement.
• Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards necessary for maintaining confidentiality and legal compliance.
