Duties

• Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, dentures), orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placements.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to diagnose dental conditions accurately using medical and dental terminology.
• Utilize dental imaging technology and anatomical knowledge to develop precise treatment plans.
• Ensure strict infection control and aseptic techniques in all clinical procedures in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and dental records using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, post-procedure care, and answer any questions confidently.
• Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient flow and comfort during procedures.
• Stay current with advancements in general dentistry techniques and materials to provide the highest standard of care.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental office experience with familiarity in dental fabrication processes.
• Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis protocols.
• Experience with electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
• Expertise in pediatric dentistry, including providing care for young patients and managing pediatric-specific needs.
• Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and implant procedures.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients about their treatment plans while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure compliance at all times.
• Capable of working efficiently within a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry for enhanced patient care.
