Pediatric Dental Assistant

About the Role Tiny Roots Pediatric Dental Studio is looking for an experienced, dependable, and energetic Dental Assistant to join our growing pediatric dental team in Atlanta.

The ideal candidate is warm, patient, team-oriented, and genuinely enjoys working with children and families. We are seeking someone with at least 2 years of dental assisting experience, with pediatric dental experience strongly preferred. EFDA certification is highly preferred, and bilingual candidates are a plus.

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, communicates well, maintains a positive attitude, and can help create a fun, comfortable, and efficient experience for our young patients and their families.

What You'll Do • ### What You’ll Do As a Dental Assistant at Tiny Roots Pediatric Dental Studio, you’ll play an important role in creating a smooth, positive experience for our patients and families. Responsibilities include: - Assist the dentist during pediatric restorative, preventive, and other dental procedures - Take high-quality digital dental X-rays - Perform coronal polishing and other expanded duties within the scope of your training and certification - Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants as permitted - Prepare treatment rooms and properly set up and break down operatories - Support behavior guidance and help children feel comfortable during dental visits - Provide patients and parents with oral hygiene and post-operative instructions - Sterilize instruments and follow infection control and OSHA protocols - Maintain organized, clean, and fully stocked treatment rooms - Accurately document clinical information and treatment in patient charts - Assist with impressions, intraoral scanning, and other clinical procedures as needed - Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the day - Work collaboratively with the doctor, clinical team, and front office to provide an exceptional patient experience
