Insurance Dental Front Office

About the Role Schedule: Monday to Friday, plus two Saturdays a month (usually the middle two). If you work a Saturday, you typically get a weekday off. Fridays are a half day, finishing around 1 PM.

Kidz and Teen Dental + Orthodontics is a family-owned pediatric and orthodontic practice that has served DFW families for over 20 years and treated more than 10,000 patients. We just opened a brand-new McKinney office and we're growing. You'll work directly with the owners, not a corporate chain, and your input gets heard.

You'll be the go-to person for insurance and treatment coordination, working with families in a fun, kid-friendly office. Patients are children and teens, which makes for a much less stressful day than most adult dental offices.

This is not an entry-level position, and dental insurance experience is required. If you're reliable and want to grow with us as we add locations, we'd like to meet you.

What You'll Do • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments, including Medicaid primary and secondary checks, and flag coverage issues to families early • Submit dental claims and follow up on rejections, denials, and unpaid claims until they are resolved • Obtain pre-authorizations for orthodontic and other treatment that requires prior approval • Present treatment plans and ortho consult financials to parents, explain insurance coverage and payment options, and collect payment at presentation • Follow up with families who have not scheduled accepted treatment and get them on the calendar • Run the front desk: check-in and check-out, scheduling, appointment confirmations, and phones, especially patient insurance questions, all in Dentrix Ascend

What You'll Bring Required: • 2+ years of dental front office experience with hands-on insurance verification, claims, and eligibility • Working knowledge of dental insurance, including Medicaid, primary/secondary coordination, and pre-authorizations • Comfortable talking to parents about costs, coverage, and payment, and collecting payment • Available Monday to Friday plus two Saturdays a month (usually the middle two) • Reliable, organized, and a strong communicator Preferred: • Experience presenting treatment plans or ortho financials • Dentrix Ascend experience • Pediatric or orthodontic office experience • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
